Workshop Assistant
Location: Whaddon, near Salisbury
Salary: £13.50–£15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer of high-quality timber windows and doors, who are looking to add a Workshop Assistant to their growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is keen to develop skills within a specialist joinery environment.
The Role
As a Workshop Assistant, you will support the production team in the manufacturing of bespoke timber windows and doors. This is a varied role that will involve:
Assisting with the production and assembly of timber products
Preparing materials, including cutting, sanding, and finishing wood
Operating workshop machinery (training provided where necessary)
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
Supporting skilled joiners with day-to-day tasks
Ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process
About You
We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual who enjoys practical work and being part of a team.
Previous joinery or woodwork experience is beneficial but not essential
A willingness to learn and develop new skills
Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
A positive, team-focused attitude
Additional Requirements
Own transport is essential due to the rural location of the workshop
Ability to work full-time hours
