Primary SENCO / SEN Teacher
Newton Group - NBS is seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Primary SENCO to join our thriving British international school in Doha. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding practitioner and skilled leader to play a key role in shaping inclusive provision and ensuring every child is supported to achieve their potential.
About the Role This is a full-time position in which the successful candidate will lead and develop provision for pupils with additional learning needs, working collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies to ensure high-quality support and inclusive practice across the primary phase. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage provision for students with special educational needs and additional learning needs across the primary schoolIdentify, assess and monitor students requiring additional support, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place
Coordinate and oversee individual support plans, targets and provision mapping
Support teachers in planning differentiated learning and inclusive classroom practice
Coach and mentor staff to strengthen high-quality teaching for all learners
Monitor the progress of students with additional needs and use data to inform next steps and interventions
Work in partnership with parents, teachers and external professionals to support student outcomes
Lead review meetings and contribute to multi-agency collaboration where appropriate
Support the development and implementation of the school’s inclusion and SEND strategy
Ensure compliance with school policies and relevant local and international SEND guidance
Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral support for vulnerable students
Support the Senior Management Team in driving an inclusive school culture and wider school improvement priorities
About You We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional who: Holds a BA in Special Educational Needs
Has proven experience as a SENCO or in a significant SEND leadership role
Holds, or is working towards, a recognised SENCO/Inclusion qualification (desirable)
Has strong knowledge of SEND practice, interventions and inclusive teaching strategies
Has experience working collaboratively with parents and external agencies
Demonstrates strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
Is committed to high standards, inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners
