Urgent Care Services provide short‑term health, therapy and care support to help people remain safely in their own homes. We work with patients who are acutely unwell and may otherwise require hospital admission, as well as supporting timely hospital discharge. This is a fast‑paced, community‑based service where no two days are the same, and where your contribution directly helps people stay well, independent and supported in their own environment.

As part of our friendly, multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality care across the community. You’ll work closely with nurses, therapists and other health professionals, gaining hands‑on experience and developing a wide range of clinical skills. Your day‑to‑day work will be varied and community‑focused, supporting patients in their own homes as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will deliver elements of prescribed care under the guidance of a nurse or therapist, contributing to ongoing assessments and reporting clinical or behavioural changes to support safe, effective care planning.

You will carry out delegated clinical tasks once competent, such as baseline observations, urinalysis, glucose monitoring, wound care, falls prevention, equipment provision and supporting independence with daily living activities. You will also help plan and deliver group or individual therapy sessions as part of prescribed care packages.

Working within clear protocols and supported by experienced clinicians, you will develop confidence, clinical skills and professional judgement. You will be encouraged to contribute ideas, ask questions and take ownership of your learning.
