An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join a well-established and growing independent surveying practice covering the West Midlands and surrounding counties.

Our client has built an excellent reputation for providing high-quality residential and commercial surveying services, with a strong emphasis on private client work rather than being solely reliant on lender-driven mortgage inspections.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced MRICS/FRICS Surveyor to their team.

The Role

This is predominantly a home-based position, giving you the autonomy to manage your own diary and workload whilst working as part of an experienced team of Chartered Residential and Building Surveyors.

You will cover properties across the West Midlands and surrounding areas, carrying out a varied range of surveying and valuation work including:

• RICS Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Surveys• HomeBuyer and Building Surveys• Red Book market valuations• IHT, matrimonial and probate valuations• Property condition reports• Housing Association condition reports• Insurance/reinstatement valuations• Preparing clear, detailed reports for clients• Speaking with clients both before and after surveys to provide advice, reassurance and a high level of service

About You

We are looking for an experienced surveyor who:

• Is MRICS or FRICS qualified• Ideally has experience working across the West Midlands and/or Staffordshire• Has strong residential building surveying experience• Can produce comprehensive and easy-to-understand survey reports• Has excellent communication and client-facing skills• Is comfortable managing their own diary and workload• Has a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle• Is professional, organised and committed to maintaining high standards

VRS registration would be advantageous but is not essential.

Package & Benefits

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
