Job summary
Kirkgate Surgery is a friendly, patient-focused practice with a strong ethos of teamwork and support. We are excited to be recruiting a caring Practice Nurse to join our clinical team for 15-20 hours per week. This opportunity has arisen as our current Practice Nurse is leaveing to return to locum work and developing her private business interests. We offer a welcoming environment where you will be supported to have a good work-life balance and grow professionally. The role would suit an experienced Practice Nurse looking to reduce their hours later in their career, returning from a career break or a Practice Nurse wishing to supplement another part-time role. We provide support and mentorship whatever your circumstances, and value nurses that bring their experience and expertise to strengthen the team and patient care. Please note that we regret that we cannot accept applicants that require visa sponsorship or do not have nursing experience in the UK. Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work with autonomy alongside our GPs, and HCA team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting baby immunisations, cervical screening, chronic disease management such as diabetes, asthma COPD etc, phlebotomy, wound management and treatment room duties. The successful candidate will oversee infection control compliance; vaccination ordering and ensure that all nurse-related Care Quality Commission evidence indicators are compliant. About us
Kirkgate Surgery is a thriving, friendly, patient-focused GP practice with a growing list size of around 3,600 patients. Our clinical team consists of 2 GP partners, 2 salaried GP's, a Practice Nurse, a Health care assistant, a Clinical Pharmacist and a General Practice Assistant. Being a small team allows us to look after our team and have high levels of employee satisfaction. We work on systemone and we are a training practice who are high achievers in QOF. We take pride in being a practice that offers a positive, supportive, and rewarding place to work for our entire team. We are committed to learning, development, and fostering an environment where everyone is encouraged to share ideas and grow professionally. We work hard to promote a healthy work-life balance for all our staff. We meet monthly as a clinical team and work collaboratively across roles. We are also proactive about change and innovation where it improves patient care and staff experience.
