M&E Bid Manager

We are seeking an experienced M&E Bid Manager to lead and deliver high-quality tender submissions from initial opportunity through to contract award. This is a key role within the business, responsible for managing the full bid lifecycle, ensuring commercial competitiveness, and driving successful outcomes across Mechanical & Electrical projects.

You’ll act as a central interface between Sales, Operations, and senior leadership, ensuring all bids are compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with company strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full bid process from opportunity assessment through to submission and negotiation

• Lead and coordinate estimating and bid teams to produce accurate, competitive tenders

• Review and produce PQQs, tender responses, and technical submissions

• Identify and assess new opportunities, advising on bid/no-bid decisions

• Develop clear, compelling written proposals and client presentations

• Manage tender portals and ensure all submissions meet client specifications and deadlines

• Provide commercial insight and pricing strategy to maximise profitability

• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients

• Analyse bid outcomes and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement

• Support the development of pricing models, reporting tools, and best practice across the business

• Lead cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Mobilisation, and Operations teams

About You

• Proven experience in Bid Management within M&E or building services

• Strong commercial awareness with experience in pricing and tender strategy

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong leadership and team management capability

• Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail

• Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office
