Offering accommodation for 34 families and 4 single females experiencing homelessness, our aim is to enable and support them in the challenges they face in their lives. The role of Maintenance Person is an essential part of keeping this effort moving.Key Responsibilities:Having multi trade experience, you will be able to identify and organise maintenance tasks for both yourself, and the Handy Person. Main routine tasks will include:Ensuring void rooms are kept to a minimum with any necessary repairs identified and corrected within the set timeframesMaintain accurate records of repairs and materialsEnsure periodic checks and tests of the fire detection and containment equipment are completed and monitoredLiaise with contractors and suppliers to achieve the most economical and successful outcomesClean and maintain any tools and equipment necessaryThe Successful candidate (s) will be able to demonstrate: A recognised trade qualification with some practical experience of working successfully in a similar maintenance/building/decorating job roleWillingness to learn and expand your skillsAbility to work unsupervised showing initiative with an awareness of health and safety requirementsIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, a criminal record check (a satisfactory AccessNI Check) and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
