SEN Teaching Assistant - Basildon - September Start
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive primary school in Basildon , starting September . This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs and looking to develop their skills within a nurturing school environment that offers strong mentorship and ongoing professional development.
The school is looking for a committed practitioner with effective behaviour management skills, strong communication abilities, and proven experience supporting children with SEN across the primary age range.
CONTRACT DETAILSLocation - Basildon
Position - SEN Teaching Assistant
Type of work - Classroom & 1:1 SEN support
Start date - September
Duration - Ongoing / Long‑term
Full time/part‑time - Full time
Rate of pay - £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Hours - 08:30am - 15:45pm
SEN experience is essential (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, or other additional needs)
Experience supporting children in a UK primary school (placements accepted)
Relevant TA or SEN‑specific training desirable
Up‑to‑date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable)
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
Provide two professional child‑related references
