This exciting opportunity sits within the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, supporting both MUFG Bank London and MUFG Securities. What you'll do:

As a Client Data Quality Specialist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract), you will be instrumental in driving the accuracy of counterparty data across MUFG’s EMEA operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve running established frameworks for data quality assurance, collaborating closely with front office stakeholders to validate information, reconciling complex datasets to uncover discrepancies, and supporting the creation of robust rules that underpin operational excellence. You will prepare insightful management reports that track progress on key initiatives while proactively identifying areas for improvement. By engaging with business owners and IT partners, you will help remediate issues at their source, ensuring that client classifications are validated according to regulatory requirements. Your work will contribute directly to enhancing customer experience by implementing best-in-class controls that detect errors early. The role also involves supporting strategic projects aimed at expanding the scope of data quality initiatives—making your contribution vital not only for daily operations but also for long-term organisational success.

* Run Business-As-Usual Data Quality Frameworks and ensure timely publication to safeguard organisational standards.

* Manage internal front office stakeholders by coordinating data clean-up and validation exercises through effective collation and actioning of responses.

* Perform data reconciliation between client base records and static data points to identify discrepancies and escalate issues as required.

* Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of Data Quality rules to enhance operational effectiveness.

* Collaborate with business and system owners to remediate data issues and provide feedback to golden source systems for continuous improvement.

* Prepare management information reports showing progress on data validation exercises and overall data quality enhancement efforts.

* Proactively identify data quality issues and support both tactical and strategic remediation initiatives for MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities.

* Identify opportunities for enhancing end-to-end customer experience through targeted data quality improvements.

* Interact and communicate effectively at all levels while building strong working relationships with business partners and IT teams.

* Develop internal controls to monitor data quality continuously; implement processes to detect, correct, and prevent invalid data or errors.
