We are looking for a kind, caring, sociable and energetic female Live-in Carer to support a client living in Portsmouth who has cerebral palsy.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and would love to support a client to live life to the fullest.
The client enjoys getting out and about and is looking for a carer who is happy to accompany them to pubs, restaurants, concerts, social events and other activities. The successful candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys being out in the community and is confident supporting their client to enjoy a varied and fulfilling lifestyle.
About the Role
As a Live-in Carer, you will provide personalised support with the client’s daily routine, personal care and activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care and daily living support
- Supporting with prescribed physiotherapy exercises
- Preparing meals and supporting with mealtimes
- Accompanying the client on outings and social activities
- Supporting trips to pubs, restaurants, concerts and other events
- Encouraging independence and community involvement
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting the client safely and respectfully in their home and community
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Kind, caring, patient and compassionate
- Sociable, outgoing and energetic
- Happy to get out and about and take part in social activities
- Comfortable accompanying the client to pubs, meals, concerts and events
- Reliable, responsible and confident working independently
- Comfortable providing personal care
- Willing to support with physiotherapy exercises
- A confident driver with a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Respectful of the client’s independence, choices and preferences
Previous experience supporting someone with cerebral palsy or complex care needs is desirable, but full training and ongoing support will be provided.
