GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are partnering with fabulous schools in Sheffield to recruit dedicated SEMH Teacher . This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs through engaging teaching, consistent routines, and positive relationship-building. You will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning while promoting both academic achievement and emotional wellbeing. This SEMH Teacher position focuses on providing personalised teaching that helps pupils manage barriers, develop resilience, and progress within a supportive setting. SEMH Teacher Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH
* Create a structured, inclusive classroom that promotes emotional safety and positive behaviour
* Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with diverse learning and behavioural needs
* Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and external professionals to support pupil progress
* Assess, monitor, and record academic, social, and emotional development
* Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to encourage successful outcomes SEMH Teacher Requirements: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
* Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or additional learning needs in a school setting
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Commitment to inclusive education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
