We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure experience to join our technology team in Watford.

This is a purely project-focused role , with no heavy BAU element. You'll be responsible for designing, building and delivering modern cloud and DevOps solutions across a range of exciting technology projects.

We're ideally looking for someone who holds Microsoft Azure certifications and can demonstrate strong hands-on experience delivering Azure-based solutions.

The Role

You will:

• Design and implement Azure cloud infrastructure across a variety of projects.
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or ARM .
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration and deployments.
• Support Azure migration, transformation and modernisation projects.
• Implement cloud security, networking, monitoring and governance.
• Work closely with developers, architects and project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to DevOps best practice.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, scalability, reliability and deployment processes.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer or someone moving into Devops from a Strong Infra Background with Azure experience .
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure .
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD .
• Infrastructure as Code experience - ideally Terraform and/or Bicep .
• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell and/or Python .
• Excellent understanding of Azure networking, security and identity.
• Experience working on project-based cloud implementations and transformations .
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable: NOT ESSENTIAL

• Microsoft Azure certifications , ideally at Associate or Expert level.
• Azure Administrator Associate ( AZ-104).
• Azure DevOps Engineer Expert ( AZ-400).

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer who wants to focus on projects, transformation and engineering , rather than being primarily responsible for BAU support.

You'll work on a variety of Azure initiatives, have the opportunity to influence technical direction and help deliver a modern, scalable cloud environment.
