Customs Freight Forwarding Manager

Our client is a well-established international freight forwarder they are now looking for an experienced Freight Forwarding Customs Manager based office in Dagenham Well established, my client handles export and import shipping requirements throughout Europe and Worldwide. Their reputation is based on their caring, customer-focused service and competitive pricing. Reporting directly to the Managing Director. The successful Customs Manager would be responsible for leading a team of 4 customs operators. Main responsibilities are

• Overseeing correct processes are followed by the team.
• Issuing: Customs entries and T forms for export trailers.
• Arranging: Customs clearance for import trailers.
• Managing VAT / Duties.
• Answering queries from HMRC.
• Mentoring and training operators where needed.

Required Skills:

• Candidate must be fully conversant will the full customs process.
• Have experience of using Sequoia
• Have experience in dealing with HMRC.
• Be experienced in leading / supervising a team.
• Candidate must be approachable and be a good communicator.

We are looking for a freight customs manager who is enthusiastic and driven. Someone who can workas part of a team as well as on their own initiative. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in customs processes. Salary & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £45,000- £55,000 per annum
• Holiday: 25 days + 8 BH
