The Role

• Providing strategic and operational leadership of the Science department

• Teaching your specialist science subject across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 depending on experience

• Leading curriculum development, assessment, and quality assurance across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics

• Line managing and supporting staff, including mentoring and performance development

• Driving consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes

• Contributing to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in a Science-related subject

• Proven experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

• Demonstrable leadership experience within a Science department

• Strong curriculum knowledge and a track record of excellent outcomes

• The ability to inspire, support, and challenge colleagues effectively

• A professional, organised, and forward-thinking leadership approach
