Senior Mental Health Support Worker, Thatcham

Senior Mental Health Support Worker Carramar, Thatcham £28,938 - £32,214 per annum (depending on experience) 37 hours per week | Monday – Sunday, inclusive of bank holidays, shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends & sleep in’s. We're looking for an experienced and compassionate individual to join our Transitional Support Team as a Senior Mental Health Support Worker. A Role Where Leadership Meets Impact As a Senior Mental Health Support Worker, you'll be more than a support worker. You'll be a mentor, role model and trusted leader who helps create an environment where both residents and colleagues can thrive. Whether you're guiding a team through a busy shift, supporting someone through a difficult period, or celebrating a resident's achievement, you'll play an important part in changing lives for the better. What You'll Be Doing As part of our leadership team, you will: ? Lead and coordinate shifts to ensure high-quality support is delivered ? Support residents through their recovery journey using a person-centred approach ? Manage medication processes and ensure safe working practices ? Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to Support Workers ? Assist with assessments, support planning and risk management ? Respond to incidents, safeguarding concerns and complaints when required ? Promote a positive culture built around respect, collaboration and inclusion ? Support residents with practical life skills such as budgeting, cooking, travel and tenancy management ? Encourage access to employment, training, education and community opportunities ? Champion trauma-informed practice and recovery-focused support What Success Looks Like In this role, success isn't measured by paperwork alone. It's knowing you've helped create a safe, supportive environment where people can flourish. What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who has: ? Experience supporting people with mental health needs ? A good understanding of recovery-focused and person-centred practice ? Experience supporting assessments, referrals or risk management processes ? Strong communication and relationship-building skills ? Confidence to take the lead and support colleagues ?
