Supervisor / Team Lead

Eurofins seeks a Supervisor/Team Lead for their Microbiology Laboratory in Linlithgow to support operational leadership and oversight of laboratory activities. The role involves managing a team of 5-15 personnel, coordinating workflows, handling quality investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards across rotating shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and leadership to laboratory team members in assigned areas
• Investigate non-conformances, complaints, and quality issues, implementing corrective actions
• Coordinate staff scheduling, rotas, holidays, and workload allocation
• Conduct performance reviews, probation assessments, and onboarding support
• Monitor quality indicators and compliance with UKAS and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Science qualification or relevant laboratory experience with equivalent education
• Understanding of laboratory operations, quality systems, and root cause analysis
• Experience coordinating workload, training, and coaching laboratory colleagues
• Proficiency with MS Office and laboratory management systems
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
