CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Setter Operator - Mazak VARIAXIS J500 & J600 / Gloucester

The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Gloucester .
Working with Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 5-axis machining centres , you will be responsible for setting, operating and optimising machining processes to produce high-precision components to exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate Mazak VARIAXIS J500 and J600 machining centres
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Perform tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments
* Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards
* Conduct first-off and in-process inspections
* Ensure machines are running efficiently and minimise downtime
* Maintain a safe and organised working environment
* Work collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams Requirements * Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC machining centres
* Experience with Mazak machinery and Mazatrol controls preferred
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Knowledge of precision machining techniques and tooling
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
