North Yorkshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Information and Sufficiency Officer to join our Families Information Service team. This is an excellent opportunity to help support the delivery of our statutory childcare sufficiency duties ensuring families, childcare providers and partners can access information, childcare and support to enable every child to have the best start in life.
About the service
The Families Information Service sits within North Yorkshire Council’s Children’s Partnerships and Sufficiency team. It plays a key role in ensuring children and families across North Yorkshire can access high-quality early education and childcare. We work closely with childcare providers, schools, families, colleagues and partner organisations to support access to childcare, funded early education and family support services.
The service supports the Council’s statutory childcare sufficiency responsibilities, helping to ensure there are enough childcare places available to meet local demand. Using data, intelligence and strong partnerships, we identify emerging needs and support the development of childcare provision across the county.
As part of the Council’s statutory duty, the Families Information Service provides trusted information, advice and guidance to parents, carers and professionals, helping families make informed choices and access the support available to them.
About the Role
Join our Families Information Service as an Information and Sufficiency Officer and play a key role in supporting North Yorkshire’s statutory childcare sufficiency responsibilities. Working alongside a small, dedicated team, you will help ensure families can access high-quality early education and childcare by providing accurate information, advice and guidance, maintaining essential data and information systems, and supporting the delivery of funded childcare and early education programmes.
This is an interesting and varied role for someone who enjoys working with people, data and digital information. You will liaise with parents, childcare providers, schools, and partner organisations, helping to shape services that support children and families across the county.
