Occupational Therapist - Clinical Pathway Lead - School Aged

Do you want to be part of a large, dynamic, integrated children's therapy service? We are transforming our service, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to join our innovative and friendly Children's Therapy team as a Clinical Pathway Lead for school aged children. This role is based in the North and Mid Hampshire area (based in Basingstoke, Winchester, Andover or Aldershot with the expectation to travel for clinical work and staff supervision across the locality) but your pathway work will inform service delivery across the whole of Hampshire.

HIOWH Children's Therapy Service has an integrated model of care across Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Podiatry working together to provide holistic support with children and their families at the centre of what we do. We have excellent working relationships with early years services, schools, health and social care colleagues. This enables us to support children and the wider community to develop creative and innovative ways of working together to better meet the needs of both the child and their family.

Main duties of the job
HIOWH NHS Foundation Trust's Integrated Children's Therapy service is for children aged 0-19 who experience challenges with Physical disability, daily functional activities, eating and drinking skills, speech, language, and communication. As a Pathway Lead, you will lead in ensuring the service delivery on our school aged pathway is line with current research and best practice.

This is a community service delivered in children's homes, pre-school settings, Children's Centres, mainstream schools, special schools, and community clinics.

Physiotherapists, podiatry, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists work together with children and their families as part of multi-agency teams with Health Care professionals across acute and community services, Education, social care colleagues and Equipment providers, to enable children achieve their therapy goals.
