A highly regarded independent school in Reading is seeking a motivated and ambitious Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department on an ASAP basis. This role includes a TLR for the right candidate and is ideal for a Science Teacher looking to take on additional responsibility within a supportive, academically focused environment.

TLR available for additional responsibility
The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on specialism and experience. Alongside high-quality classroom teaching, the successful candidate will take on a TLR-linked responsibility, which may include curriculum leadership, mentoring, or oversight of a key area within the Science department.
Experience and Qualifications
QTS and a degree in a Science-related subject
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and high expectations for student outcomes
Experience or readiness to take on a responsibility or leadership role
Ability to contribute positively to departmental development
A flexible and proactive approach suited to an ASAP start
