- Conduct thorough screening and assessment, develop recovery plans, and manage onward referrals as needed
- Work to decrease drug and alcohol-related harm among service users and within the broader community
- Encourage and facilitate involvement from carers, service users, and the community at large
- Serve as an advocate to ensure access to essential partnership services
- Collaborate with service users to support their social reintegration, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and independence Main purpose of the role: The post holder will work as an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality provision by supporting service users from the point of entry into the service and through their treatment and recovery journey. This includes providing screening, assessment, recovery planning, and onward referral. Additionally, the role focuses on reducing drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community, promoting involvement, providing advocacy access to partner services, and working with service users to support social reintegration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives while promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination. This role involves supervising volunteers and peer mentors, requiring a flexible attitude to multi-agency collaboration.
