I am looking for a Senior System Administrator for a government company in Brussels. This is a long-term freelance assignment (multi-year engagement), requiring 2–3 days per week on-site.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Microsoft and Linux server environments.
- Administer Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange).
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, and Intune.
- Support VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, NetBackup).
- Administer SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases.
- Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage monitoring, security, VPN, and high-availability solutions.
- Support Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps deployment processes.

Profile
- 8+ years of system administration experience.
- Strong troubleshooting, automation, and infrastructure management skills.
- Experience in enterprise environments.
- Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch is a plus.
