A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the L30 area is looking to appoint a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact by supporting students with a range of additional needs in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the school's SEND team to provide tailored support that enables students to access learning and flourish both academically and personally.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one and small-group support for students with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
• Adapting learning activities to ensure students can fully access the curriculum
• Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy, organisation and classroom engagement
• Promoting confidence, independence, resilience and positive social interaction
• Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and individual learning strategies
• Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting students' emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
