Food and Beverage Assistant

Role Summary

As Food and Beverage Assistant you will work across our restaurants and bars. As well as our banquets and event catering served in our recently refurbished marquee. You play a key role in delivering the excellent levels of service associated throughout the range of dining experiences at Moness Resort.

As part of a close-nit team you GUIDE THE WAY collaborate with team members to ensure that each guest dining experience whether visiting for a meal or staying overnight in one of our beautiful cottages and enjoying a hearty Scottish Breakfast. Our team will be on hand to look after them with all their food and beverage needs.

Role Responsibilities

You provide a warm, friendly, professional, and efficient service and have a natural ability to work well within a team and can stay composed under pressure DELIVER RESULTS ensuring our ambitious standards are maintained.

Collaborate with other team members, you prepare for guest arrivals, cleaning and preparing the dining areas, ensuring they look their best. Tables are set and ready for dining. The bar area is clear; glasses clean and fridges stocked. Develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the menu and any daily specials.

Serving food and drinks to guests, upselling additional food and drink items where appropriate. Be knowledgeable about wine pairings, cocktail options, special promotions, and local produce. Ensure that guests are satisfied throughout their dining experience and deal with any additional needs.

Prepare, present bills to guests and process payments accurately. Manage transactions using the restaurant’s payment systems and ensure that all payment handling procedures are followed.

Maintain a friendly approach with guests whilst respecting their privacy during their stay. Respond to any guest requests and feedback efficiently. Ensure the security of guest accommodation and their belongings during the execution of your duties.

Approach all that we do with SIMPLICITY providing guests with any requested items quickly and efficiently. Provide guidance, support, and motivation to junior team members. Encourage a positive and efficient work environment while ensuring teamwork and consistent high standards. Ensure guests are satisfied throughout their stay, attending to any additional needs.

Role Competencies

Previous experience within a fast paced or resort environment, or in a hotel or Restaurant, together with good people skills. Where teamwork and collaboration have been the key would be ideal. BE YOURSELF driving genuine, honest interactions, creating a culture of warmth and inclusivity.

Working independently and as part of a team comes naturally to you. Ability to work under pressure to juggle competing priorities with minimum supervision. You are calm, confident, and discreet, taking huge pride in your presentation. Exemplary time management with a vision for quality and excellence.

About Moness

Moness Resort is in the small market town of Aberfeldy. Set in thirty-five acres of ground and situated amidst stunning Highland scenery, the resort offers a range of accommodations, including well equipped family friendly self-catering cottages and hotel rooms. Within the main house there are restaurants and bars and an outdoor terrace. Leisure facilities, swimming pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub.

This role does not qualify for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa requirements and eligibility criteria. Only applicants with the right to work in mainland UK can be considered. We cannot consider applicants who require sponsorship.
