Behaviour Mentor
Dudley (Clean driving licence and access to a car is essential)
£110-£115 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term temp-to-perm (Full Academic Year)
Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Providing targeted 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs
- Supporting students within lessons and in alternative learning environments
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
- Building strong, positive relationships to improve engagement and attendance
- Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and successfully re-engage with learning
- Monitoring behaviour and progress, sharing feedback with relevant staff
- Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience, and social development
- Collaborating with staff to implement and maintain behaviour support plans
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils, ideally within an Alternative Provision or similar setting
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
- Able to build trust and rapport while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
- Reliable and committed to a long-term role
- Proactive, adaptable, and a strong team player
