The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Demonstrator to support our national sales team by delivering professional customer demonstrations across the Komatsu product range.
You’ll also provide operator familiarisation and practical training during new machine handovers, ensuring customers understand how to operate their equipment safely, efficiently and confidently.
This is a national field-based role involving extensive travel across the UK and regular overnight stays. You’ll report directly to the Demonstration & Training Manager.
Key responsibilities
Deliver professional on-site demonstrations across the Komatsu equipment range.
Support Area Sales Managers with customer visits, machine trials and product evaluations.
Demonstrate machine performance, productivity, fuel efficiency, operator comfort and technology.
Promote Intelligent Machine Control and Smart Construction solutions where appropriate.
Provide operator familiarisation and practical training during new machine handovers.
Explain safe operation, daily maintenance checks and best-practice machine usage.
Support product launches, exhibitions, open days and customer events.
Coordinate travel, demonstration schedules, machine availability and customer expectations.
Complete activity reports and demonstration feedback accurately and on time.
Maintain company vehicles, demonstration machines, PPE and equipment to the required standard.
What we’re looking for
Strong operational experience within construction equipment, plant or heavy machinery.
Experience operating excavators, wheel loaders, dump trucks and associated equipment.
Confident communication and excellent customer-facing skills.
Strong organisation, planning and diary-management abilities.
Ability to work independently across a national territory.
Full UK driving licence.
Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home.
Experience with Komatsu equipment, machine-control technology or Smart Construction solutions would be advantageous. CPCS, NPORS or equivalent operator qualifications are also desirable.
