Our client is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join its established Family team in Romford, Essex. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, including work for high-net-worth individuals, while contributing to the development of the department and supporting junior staff. The Role
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20–25 private family matters
- Advise on divorce, separation and financial matters
- Handle children matters and cohabitation disputes
- Deal with TOLATA matters and domestic violence injunctions
- Advise on pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Manage complex matters independently from instruction through to conclusion
- Build and maintain strong client and referral relationships
- Support and train paralegals, trainees and junior solicitors
- Contribute to the supervision and management of the Family department
- Minimum 3 years' PQE in private Family Law
- Broad experience across private family matters
- Strong privately funded caseload experience; legal aid experience is not required
- Ability to manage complex matters autonomously
- Previous experience supervising or training junior staff
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Commercially minded with a focus on client care and business development
- Ambitious and motivated to progress into a supervisory position
- 4 or 5 day working week
