Team Manager - Children in Care Role
Location: The Portal, Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Contract: Full Time (Interim)
Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm; Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
Salary: £45 Hourly We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our high-performing Children in Care Team in Ellesmere Port. - Provide operational leadership and guidance to a team of social workers, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained.
- Oversee and implement care and permanence planning, ensuring all legal and statutory visiting requirements are fulfilled.
- Support staff development and foster a culture of high support and high challenge within the team.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with agencies across the sector to enhance service delivery for children and young people.
- Lead on complex case planning including court-related transitions, ensuring timely and effective decision-making.
- Promote a relationship-based practice within your team, striving for timely permanence for all children in care. Requirements of the Team Manager:
- Degree or equivalent in social work.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Recent managerial experience, ideally as a Team Manager or in a similar role, within Children's Services.
- Strong understanding of Children in Care and Care Leaver services.
- Proven ability to lead teams to achieve excellent outcomes for children and young people.
- Experience in managing complex cases and liaising effectively with partner agencies.
