The Role:

We're looking for a People Insights Manager to scale and further develop our existing people analytics function, turning messy people data into insight and self-serve dashboards that senior leaders can act on. This is a hands-on build role, not just a reporting function: you'll design and build a self-serve dashboard suite from scratch, not maintain someone else's.

Reporting directly to our Head of People Insights, you'll be the dedicated analytics specialism the team is currently missing, working closely with our People Systems team who own the underlying data and systems foundations.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, hybrid working.

What You'll Do:

• Turn stakeholder requests into the real question behind them, and build the analysis that answers it, tailored to the audience.
• Build and maintain a self-serve dashboard suite leveraging modern data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker Studio), working with the People Systems team to transition away from static spreadsheet reporting.
• Own consistent metric definitions across dashboards, and turn recurring requests into self-serve views rather than one-off reports.
• Provide the analysis behind performance cycles, including ratings distribution, calibration outcomes and trends across teams and levels.
• Turn engagement survey results into a clear, actionable story for leaders.
• Connect people metrics to commercial impact, cost, capacity and revenue, and partner across the business to build demand for people analytics.

What We're Looking For:

• A track record in people analytics, HR reporting or workforce intelligence, with real ownership of dashboards and reporting rather than analysis produced only on request.
• Experience presenting data-driven recommendations to senior stakeholders and holding up under scrutiny.
• Comfortable operating with an imperfect systems estate and messy underlying data.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards or reports in a modern BI or self-serve tool (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau or similar); the specific tool matters less than the ability to pick one up and build in it quickly.
• Working knowledge of an HRIS (BambooHR or similar) and how people data sits within one.
• Strong data storytelling, able to translate complex analysis into a simple, visually clear narrative a non-HR audience can act on.
• Commercially fluent, comfortable connecting people metrics to business impact in language that lands outside the people function.
• Comfortable working with different types of workforce (for example hourly versus salaried, warehouse versus remote), since reporting needs differ across them.
