As a Relief Security Officer , you will provide professional security services across a range of sites within a designated geographical area. The Security Officer will be responsible for safeguarding customers, employees, property, and assets while ensuring all duties are carried out in accordance with Assignment Instructions and site-specific requirements. The Security Officer role requires delivering exceptional customer service and consistently demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness . A valid SIA licence must be held before commencing operational duties as a Security Officer .

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Control site access and monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems.
• Conduct regular patrols to protect people, property, and assets.
• Manage visitors, contractors, and vehicle access.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
• Report hazards, accidents, and security concerns promptly.
• Prevent theft, damage, and unauthorised access.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain security records.
• Deliver excellent customer service and support site safety.
• Ensure compliance with all site procedures, health & safety requirements, and Securitas standards.
• Liaise with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and emergency services when required.
• Carry out searches, inspections, and other security duties as directed.
• Promote Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence
• Minimum 2 years' security experience
• UK National
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to obtain and maintain SC (Security Check) Clearance
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable employment/history record
• Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years (site requirement)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays
