An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated registered nurse to join our team as Ward Manager. The successful candidate will provide visible clinical and operational leadership across a 14-bedded inpatient ward alongside responsibility for the Gynaecology Assessment Unit and Women's Health Outpatient Services. This is a varied and rewarding role requiring a strong leader who can balance the demands of inpatient care, ambulatory assessment services and outpatient activity while maintaining high standards of patient safety, quality and experience. The Ward Manager is responsible for providing effective clinical, professional and operational leadership across a 14-bedded inpatient ward, Gynaecology Assessment Unit and Women's Health Outpatient Services. The inpatient ward cares for a diverse patient population including orthopaedic, gynaecology, medical and surgical patients, requiring the post holder to lead and coordinate care across multiple specialties and pathways. The Ward Manager will ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care, maintaining compliance with Trust policies, professional standards and national quality requirements. They will be accountable for workforce management, patient flow, budgetary and resource management, clinical governance, patient safety, risk management and service performance. The post holder will act as a visible and approachable leader, fostering a culture of compassion, continuous improvement and staff engagement, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and experience. They will lead qualityimprovement initiatives, support service development and transformation, manage complaints and incidents, and ensure that all staff are supported to achieve their professional and developmental objectives within a positive and inclusive working environment.
