TRP is a dynamic and growing company dedicated to delivering high-quality rubber seals and components to a number of niche end markets. TRP are looking to recruit a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner familiar with using advanced planning and scheduling systems, optimising the operation, meeting customer requirements and improving the synchronization of manufacturing processes. TRP use a LYNQ APS system for its planning/ scheduling.

Role Overview

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the moulding, tool manufacture and compound mixing manufacturing activities at TRP, to ensure production targets are met, whilst maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency. You will act as a key link between production and the internal sales account management teams, and facilitate increased resource utilization taking account of constraints around machines, tooling and personnel, and at the same time ensuring an on-time delivery, whilst keeping lead times to a minimum and reduced inventory levels and waste.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure material availability
• Monitor planning schedule performance and adherence to plan
• Coordinate with the customer service team to ensure customer requirements are met and service levels enhanced
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimise workflow and capacity planning
• Identify and resolve production issues or delays proactively
• Continuously seek improvements in planning processes and systems to enhance operations outcomes

Requirements

• Proven experience in a production planning and scheduling role using APS software
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in the use of ERP software, Microsoft Excel and A1 tools to support best planning decisions
• A strong capability with data analysis and interpretation
• Experience with constraint-based manufacturing environments (multi-machine/ tool/ material constraints)
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing processes

Desirable Skills

• Experience with ERP/MRP/APS systems
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement knowledge
• A good understanding of operations and supply chain management
