The Primary Care Alliance CIC is a GP-led provider organisation delivering high quality primary care services at scale across Berkshire West. Representing 36 member practices serving a population of over 580,000 residents, the Alliance works collaboratively with general practice, Primary Care Networks, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (BOB ICB) to design, mobilise and deliver high-quality healthcare closer to home. Our ambition is to strengthen primary care through collaboration, innovation and operational excellence. Over the next five years the Alliance intends to significantly expand its portfolio of commissioned services, supporting the delivery of neighbourhood health, integrated care and innovative models of primary care across Berkshire West. Our current portfolio includes the Reading Urgent Care Centre, Women's Health Hub, Lipid Optimisation Programme and Practice Resilience services, with an ambitious programme of growth including Same Day Access, proactive frailty services, neighbourhood health and future commissioned services. - Assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of benign gynaecological conditions within the Community Gynaecology Service.
- Independent management of patients within agreed competency levels.
- Performing community-based gynaecological procedures appropriate to training and competence such as
- Removal of lost IUS
- Difficult insertion of IUS
- Cervical polypectomy
- Assess and manage incontinence and prolapse symptoms including vaginal pessary
- Cervical cautery
- Participation in MDT and other clinical meetings where appropriate.
- Contributing to clinical governance, audit, teaching and service improvement initiatives and ensure service is complaint with CQC legislation.
- Supporting delivery of Berkshire West Women's Health pathways and promoting consistent evidence-based care across Primary Care.
- Continuous Learning: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge base in womens health, actively engaging in the training and professional development

- Developing procedural skills through supervised practice and competency assessment such as pipelle and vulval biospy.
Essential
- Qualified GP with Gynaecology interest
- Evidence of further postgraduate gynaecology educational activities / Experience in Community Gynaecology
- DRCOG.
- DFSRH.
- Experience in quality improvement or clinical audit.
- Experience teaching or supervising healthcare professionals.
- Experience contributing to pathway development or service improvement.
- Advanced BMS/CoSRH Certificate in Menopause Care.
- MRCOG/ diploma in gynaecology
Essential
- Be fully registered with the GMC and GP REGISTER
- Hold a current licence to practise.
- Be up to date with appraisal and mandatory training.
- Senior clinician with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in UK
- Hold current cervical Certification-up to date with national cervical screening program guidelines
- LARC Procedures: Competent and confident in intrauterine system/device (IUCD/IUS) insertion and removal
- A strong commitment to Women's Health/GP with Extended Role in Womens Health GwER.
- Have excellent communication and consultation skills to deliver high quality patient-centred care.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.
