Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science (Teaching and Engagement)
Salary: (Grade 7 or 8 )

Lancaster Medical School seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Science to contribute to the development and delivery of our undergraduate Sport and Exercise Science ( SaES ) degree , prospective postgraduate offering and engagement portfolio .

You will work with the Director of S aES and excellent team to develop and deliver a sector leading SaES curricul um , excellent research and strategic engagement portfolio . Depending on qualifications and experience this role is offered at grade 7 or grade 8.

You will make a significant contribution to teaching , learning and assessment , and the continued development of the SaES portfolio accordin g to their expertise and skills , including , for example, supervising student projects and contributing to core professional practice. An ideal candidate would be able to contribute to more than one of the core SaES disciplines of study .

The university , faculty and specifically SaES team are keen to further build collaborative and sustainable relationships with partners and communities for mutual benefit to create positive change, maximise existing and develop new relationship s . The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead and develop the engagement portfolio and contribute to teaching, learning and assessment in collaboration with clinical and academic colleagues with a very wide range of expertise . The successful candidate , depending on their level of experience, will grow the SaES team’s strategic engagement portfolio , align with the Medical School ’s objectives and foster existing and new relationships with industry and third-sector partnerships to enhance curricular and wider team activity.

Our highly ranked SaES degree focuses on research-led teaching and has a growing population of research-led postgraduate students. The SaES team, along with the whole of Lancaster Medical School and the Human Biomechanics Laboratory is based on the Lancaster University campus in the modern Health Innovation One building and the Human Performance Laboratory is located within the exception al SPORT Lancaster facility .
