Lead the Future of Medical Device Manufacturing
\nPolarseal, part of the ADDEV Materials Group , is a rapidly growing Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) serving the global medical device sector. As we continue our ambitious growth journey, we are seeking an exceptional Site Manager to lead our flagship UK manufacturing facility in Carlton, Suffolk.
\nThis is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a thriving manufacturing site and play a pivotal role in its next phase of expansion. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will become the senior leader on site, driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and delivering sustainable improvements across safety, quality, productivity and culture.

\n \nAbout the role
\nAs Site Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the site, ensuring world-class standards across manufacturing operations, engineering, supply chain integration, quality and health & safety.
\nYou will spend significant time on the shop floor, working closely with teams to understand operational challenges first-hand, remove barriers to performance, and embed lasting improvements.
\nThis role offers significant scope for future growth, including the opportunity to take ownership of the site's full P&L and play a key role in the wider Group's international manufacturing strategy.
\n \nKey Responsibilities
\nOperational Leadership

- Lead all site operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, cost and people objectives. \n
- Drive improvements in operational performance, efficiency, service levels and productivity. \n
- Develop and maintain a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. \n
- Own key performance indicators including OTIF, OEE, labour efficiency, asset reliability and cost control. \n
- Establish and lead effective daily, weekly and monthly operational review processes. \n
People Leadership

- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing leadership team. \n
- Partner closely with HR on workforce planning, talent development, succession planning and employee engagement. \n
- Build capability across the organisation through effective training and development initiatives. \n
- Foster a positive culture focused on ownership, teamwork and improvement. \n
Engineering & Asset Reliability
\n- \n
- Provide leadership to the engineering and maintenance function. \n
- Improve asset reliability, uptime and operational effectiveness. \n
- Support the transition to planned and predictive maintenance strategies. \n
- Ensure full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. \n
Supply Chain & Continuous Improvement
\n- \n
- Drive alignment between production planning, customer demand and operational execution. \n
- Lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. \n
- Champion structured problem-solving and root cause elimination methodologies. \n
- Improve process flow, productivity and overall manufacturing efficiency. \n
- Support the development of robust S&OP processes and end-to-end supply chain capability. \n
Quality, Compliance & Growth

- Ensure compliance with medical device regulations, ISO standards and health & safety requirements. \n
- Promote a strong safety-first and quality-first culture. \n
- Support capital investment, automation and site expansion projects. \n
- Contribute to the future operational roadmap for the business as it continues to scale internationally. \n
About You
\nYou are a proven manufacturing leader with a track record of delivering operational excellence in highly regulated environments. You're equally comfortable working strategically and being hands-on in the factory, leading teams through growth, change and transformation.
\n \nEssential Experience
\n- \n
- Significant experience in a senior manufacturing operations leadership role. \n
- Background in highly regulated industries such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, food or similar. \n
- Experience within cleanroom or high-care manufacturing environments. \n
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and quality. \n
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence methodologies. \n
- Experience driving measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency, service, quality and cost. \n
- Understanding of engineering, maintenance and asset reliability principles. \n
- Experience supporting site growth, transformation or scale-up activities. \n
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent). \n
- Strong leadership presence with the credibility to lead a complex manufacturing operation. \n
Desirable

- 5+ years in a senior manufacturing leadership role. \n
- P&L responsibility. \n
- IOSH Leadership qualification. \n
- ISO 14001 environmental management knowledge. \n
- Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher). \n
- Capital investment and business case development experience. \n
- S&OP leadership experience. \n
