Unqualified EYFS Teaching Assistant – Supply Work Location: Pontefract Job Type: Supply / Flexible Pay: £92.63–£110 per day, depending on experience and skills Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing Are you passionate about working with young children and looking for flexible work in Pontefract? Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic and caring Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) settings, nurseries and Reception classes across local schools. You don’t need a formal Early Years qualification to apply. The Role As a Supply EYFS Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and Early Years staff to support children in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Your responsibilities may include: Supporting teachers with daily classroom activitiesWorking with children individually and in small groupsSupporting learning through play-based activitiesEncouraging communication, language and social developmentSupporting children's personal, social and emotional developmentHelping children develop independence and confidenceSupporting indoor and outdoor learningAssisting with routines, lunchtime and general classroom dutiesSupporting children with SEND and additional needsBuilding positive and trusting relationships with childrenFollowing school safeguarding and behaviour policies About You We’re looking for candidates who: Have previous experience working with children or young peopleHave a genuine passion for Early Years and child developmentAre caring, patient and enthusiasticAre confident interacting with young childrenCan build positive relationships quicklyAre reliable, adaptable and willing to learnAre comfortable working as part of a wider school teamHave a good understanding of safeguardingDo not necessarily hold a formal Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification Experience in a nursery, school, childcare, youth work, sports coaching, volunteering or care setting would be beneficial.
