Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Quantitative Hedge Fund

Full-Time, Office-Based – City of London

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. We are partnering on this search with our client, a long-established and successful quantitative hedge fund based in the heart of London. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and technical peers in a collaborative, no-silos culture where your ideas and contributions will be taken seriously.

The role will involve:
• Taking ownership of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and Intune
• Managing both on-prem and cloud-based directory services (Active Directory and Entra ID)
• Providing high-quality IT support to a small team (~20 users), including traders and quants
• Driving automation through PowerShell scripting and other tools
• Managing the firm’s Azure environment and contributing to infrastructure-as-code projects using Terraform
• Supporting Windows desktop and server environments in a highly available setting
• Liaising with external vendors and service providers
• Playing a key role in incident response, resolution, and documentation

Desired Experience
• 5+ years’ experience in IT support or infrastructure, preferably in finance or professional services
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 and related administration
• Deep understanding of Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system administration
• Proven ability to manage Windows-based endpoints and troubleshoot complex issues
• Hands-on experience with Azure and familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently and proactively
• Strong communication skills – able to liaise confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
