Learning Support Assistant
Teach South Sussex are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Brighton seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September .
This is an ongoing 1:1 support role , working with a pupil in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 .
The role will involve:
- Providing consistent 1:1 support to help a pupil access learning.
- Building a positive, trusting relationship with the child.
- Supporting both academic progress and social development.
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
- Encouraging independence while maintaining a calm, patient approach.
- Has previous experience working with children in a school, childcare or similar setting.
- Is patient, resilient and adaptable.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Can commit to a full-time, ongoing position.
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
