Salary: £37,500 per annum
Hours: Full-Time (3 days/nights one week, 4 days/nights the next — rolling rota)
Shift Pattern: 7:30am – 8:00pm or 7:30pm – 8:00am
Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join an established CAMHS inpatient unit in Horley, Surrey. The service provides specialist care and treatment for young people aged 13–18 with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, including mood disorders, acute psychosis, neurodevelopmental disorders, and disordered eating. This is a rewarding clinical role within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Please note: Completed Preceptorship is essential for this role.

The Role

Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to young people within a CAMHS setting
Lead assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Observe, record, and report service user changes accurately
Provide mentorship and support to colleagues and junior team members
Promote positive teamwork within a busy inpatient environment

Requirements

Qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC PIN
Completed Preceptorship — essential
Experience within mental health or CAMHS settings desirable
Strong team-working and communication skills
Caring, compassionate, and self-motivated approach

12-bed CAMHS inpatient unit
Young people aged 13–18
Complex mental health needs including mood disorders, psychosis, neurodevelopmental conditions, and disordered eating
