PR Executive
PR Executive (Consumer)
Bristol- Hybrid
Competitive salary + benefits
At Speed , we live and breathe consumer PR. From food and drink to health, beauty, travel and lifestyle, our consumer team works with some of the most exciting brands out there – building campaigns that cut through the noise and land with impact. As the largest PR agency in the South West and one of the Top 15 fastest growing agencies in the UK, Speed offers an exceptional environment to develop your career and make your mark.
We’re looking for a PR Executive to join our brilliant consumer team. You will have some previous experience of working in a PR Agency with consumer clients, bonus points if they have been in the health and wellbeing or lifestyle space. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role where you’ll be part of the engine room of campaign delivery. You’ll pitch stories to national and lifestyle media, spark conversations with influencers, help run eye-catching campaigns and spot opportunities to get our clients seen, heard and loved.
What you’ll be doing
Be the voice that media want to hear from
Pitch into top-tier national and consumer press - national newspapers, mags and regional media
Build lasting media and influencer relationships
Sniff out opportunities and trends that put our brands at the centre of the conversation
Keep those media lists fresh, relevant and ready to roll
Deliver campaigns with energy
Be a key part of campaign execution – from helping run the press office to coordinating sampling programmes, stunts, events and content shoots
Research media targets, source props, book influencers and make the behind-the-scenes magic happen
Work with the team to keep everything running smoothly and on time
Write like a pro
Create standout copy – think press releases, media alerts, emails, articles and social content
Help shape visual content that brings campaigns to life – from scroll-stopping reels to Insta-worthy imagery
Contribute to Speed’s blog and thought leadership – we want your voice in the mix
Think consumer-first
Feed in creative, on-brand ideas that’ll turn heads and drive engagement
Stay plugged into culture, social trends, and what gets consumers clicking and sharing
Join regular brainstorms and proactively pitch in new ideas
Get social
Help develop social calendars and campaign content
Work alongside our social experts to deliver content across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and beyond
Support with influencer outreach and community management
Support clients & the team
Build relationships with client contacts and contribute to meetings
Support reporting, admin and budget management
Be a team player who lifts others up and brings positive energy to the room
We’re looking for someone with experience in consumer PR – someone who’s a confident communicator, a natural storyteller, and has a genuine love for the media, from tabloids to TikTok. You’ll be a sharp writer with an eye for engaging copy, a creative thinker bursting with ideas, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Being organised, proactive and calm under pressure is key, as is a real passion for lifestyle brands, consumer behaviour and trends. Most importantly, you’ll bring a positive, can-do attitude and be a true team player who’s ready to get stuck in.
What you get when you are part of the team
We believe brilliant work deserves brilliant perks. Here’s what we offer to help you feel supported, rewarded and ready to thrive — in and out of work:
A competitive salary that reflects your talent
25 days’ holiday to start with — rising to 29 after two year
An extra 5 days’ holiday every 5 years you’re with us (because loyalty matters)
Office closed over Christmas – and no, it doesn’t come out of your holiday
3% matched pension to help you plan ahead
Healthcare cashback scheme to keep you feeling your best
Generous family leave packages for life’s big moments
Flexible, hybrid working – because we get that life isn’t 9 to 5
Comprehensive training and development to help you grow your career
Share incentive plan – have a stake in what we’re building
Performance-based rewards for great work
Wellbeing support that goes beyond the basics – including charity days and mental health resources
Celebrations, shout-outs and team recognition – we love a win, and we love to celebrate it
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Speed
We believe brilliant work comes from diverse perspectives. We’re committed to building an inclusive culture where everyone feels seen, heard and valued — whatever their background, identity or lived experience.
We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Committed (Level 1) Employer. That means we’ve taken clear steps to make our recruitment process inclusive and accessible. We actively promote our vacancies, and we offer interviews to disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria.
This is just one part of our commitment to equity and inclusion — because the best ideas come from teams that reflect the world around them.
