Quality Control/Goods In-Out Manager

We are recruiting for a growing premium interiors business with a strong reputation for quality, consistency, presentation for a Quality Control/Goods In-Out Manager on full time permanent basis, on the Herefordshire /Powys border.

This is a hands-on warehouse-based role, ideal for an experienced quality control and warehouse person, reporting to the Head of Operations. You will lead a small team whilst taking ownership of strict quality control, goods-in/goods-out processes, stock accuracy, dispatch operations and continuous process improvement.

What you will be doing:

• Leading the warehouse quality control and dispatch team, setting standards and supporting day-to-day operations
• Overseeing goods-in, goods-out, stock movements, order preparation, packing and dispatch activities
• Inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, checking for variations, defects, damage and other quality concerns
• Ensuring stock is accurately measured, labelled, checked and recorded
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and stock control processes
• Using inventory, warehouse, order processing and courier management systems effectively, supporting stock counts, cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
• Resolving courier issues, failed collections, shipment damage and tracking queries. Investigating stock discrepancies and product quality issues
• Managing courier bookings and shipping arrangements, including DHL and other logistics providers
• Ensuring all orders are picked, packed, labelled and dispatched accurately and to company standards
• Developing, maintaining and improving standard operating procedures across quality control, goods-in, stock movement, packing, returns and shipping activities and supporting the development of scalable processes
• Training, mentoring and supporting a small warehouse team, maintaining a clean, organised
• and professional warehouse environment
• Liaising with suppliers regarding quality concerns, delivery discrepancies and product faults

What we are looking for:

• Experience within a premium brand, product-led environment with practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to work primarily on the warehouse floor
• Strong experience handling, inspecting or managing products with high attention to detail
• Previous experience within quality control, warehouse operations, goods-in/goods-out or production environments
• Proven inventory management and stock control experience, using warehouse management, stock control, order processing and courier systems
• Knowledge of shipping processes and courier management, ideally including DHL
• Previous supervisory or team management experience
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify fabric faults and product
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with effective communication skills
• Experience documenting, implementing and improving operational processes
• High levels of accountability, ownership and pride in delivering quality work
• Strong IT and systems capability with confidence learning and utilising business systems

Desirable Experience

• Experience using Shopify, barcode systems, stock databases or warehouse management systems
• Experience across Premium or luxury product environments
