Maintenance Caretaker

We're looking for a hard working and self motivated Maintenance Caretaker to work within our student accommodation sites based in Dundee. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a caretaking role including completing maintenance and compliance tasks within an accommodation setting. Working in a small team, you will be responsible for providing a safe, clean and well maintained environment for residents. Some lone working will be required. The role of Maintenance Caretaker will include:

• Undertake reactive basic repairs and maintenance duties in student accommodation , undertaking repairs and reporting issues which require specialist attention
• Ensuring statutory compliance is maintained including carrying out Fire Alarm Tests, emergency Lighting and water hygiene, ensuring they are all completed in a timely manner Record keeping in line with standard operations procedures
• Assisting the management team with flat inspections and audits to ensure safe and secure environments in line with Health and Safety and emergency procedures and regulations.
• Ensuring the standard of cleanliness of the site is maintained including waste management and cleaning in accordance with specific site requirements and schedules

• Experience within a caretaking or maintenance role is essential
• Practical skills in identifying and /or carrying out basic repairs
• Working knowledge of health and safety
• Excellent communication skills allowing you to provide great customer service
• Ability to interpret written instructions, maintain simple written records and assess priorities to then a plan work schedule effectively
