Producer Director for new factual entertainment series (3 x 60) - Crackit TV Crackit TV has been commissioned to produce a bold, funny and revealing new 3 x 60 prime time, presenter led factual entertainment series for a major UK broadcaster. We are looking for an exceptional Producer Director to lead filming on the three films. The series dives into the fast growing world of modern male self improvement: the lengths men now go to in pursuit of the perfect look, peak health and a longer life. It is immersive and unafraid, blending genuine warmth and emotion with shock, humour and real jeopardy, and it treats its contributors with respect even at its most eye opening. You will work closely with the Series Editor and exec team to shape the story and access on your film from the ground up, build trust with contributors around sensitive and revealing subject matter, and direct shoots that capture both the humour and the emotional truth of what these men are going through. The role You will lead the shoot day to day: directing contributors and access, building scenes with imagination, jeopardy and heart rather than settling for a parade of meet and greet chats, and delivering rushes that give the edit everything it needs to build dynamic, visual television. You will have A strong track record directing presenter led popular factual or factual entertainment, ideally bringing bold, sensitive or provocative subjects to life for a mainstream audience. Strong contributor casting and access instincts, with the sensitivity to get people to open up on difficult subjects. And the tonal range this series needs: the ability to move between insight, humour, warmth and empathy, often within a single shoot day. You will be calm under pressure, highly organised and realistic about what is achievable within the filming schedule, without ever dropping the ambition. This job is Brighton based 3 days a week during filming period (unless on location) and 5 days per week during the edit.
