Bath & North East Somerset Council and Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) are seeking an experienced and motivated Recovery Senior Practitioner to join our well-established integrated Mental Health Recovery Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered practitioner to provide professional and clinical leadership within a dynamic, multidisciplinary service that is committed to recovery-focused, strengths-based and person-centred practice. Working collaboratively across health and social care, you will support the delivery of excellent services for adults with complex mental health needs, while promoting quality assurance, professional standards and continuous improvement across the service. The post holder will work closely with the Team Manager, health senior practitioners and service lead to provide oversight of specialist treatment pathways and to support best practice across the Mental Health Recovery Team. About the Role:
- Provide professional and clinical leadership within an integrated mental health team.
- Provide excellent legal literacy and social care oversight in the integrated team.
- Manage and provide oversight of complex cases, ensuring interventions are delivered within relevant legislative and policy frameworks.
- Offer management, professional and clinical supervision to practitioners across the service.
- Promote and sustain effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
- Support quality assurance, practice development and service improvement initiatives.
- Lead on specialist areas of practice and contribute to the development of treatment pathways.
- Build effective relationships with partners across health, social care and the wider community.
- Contribute to service planning, performance management and the ongoing development of responsive services.
- Is a registered practitioner with an appropriate professional qualification and registration i.e. Social Work England.
- Has substantial post-qualification experience working with adults with complex mental health needs.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of Adult Social Care legislation, safeguarding responsibilities and mental health law.
- A commitment to ensuring practice standards in relation to social work and social care are developed in the team and high commitment to meeting the social care needs of the individuals referred into the secondary care service.
- Has significant experience of managing complex casework and delivering specialist interventions.
- Has experience of providing professional, management and clinical supervision.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Is passionate about recovery-focused practice and achieving positive outcomes for people, families and carers.
- Can influence, inspire and support others to deliver high-quality services including acting as a source of support to those in the wider Adult Social Care sector
- A supportive and collaborative integrated mental health service.
