What’s involved?

Scientific leadership and content quality

• Own the scientific quality, accuracy and balance of huumun’s medical communications and data-led content across therapy areas and clients
• Provide senior scientific review and strategic oversight of key deliverables, ensuring alignment with evidence, audience needs and client objectives
• Guide the development of scientific narratives that connect data, insight and experience design
• Ensure content adheres to regulatory, compliance and ethical standards

• Owns the scientific and medical integrity of our work
• Shapes how complex data and evidence are translated into clear, engaging communications
• Provides strategic oversight and mentorship to internal teams
• Acts as a trusted scientific partner to client Medical Affairs and commercial stakeholders

Content, data and client leadership

• Lead scientific input into content and data strategies, including platforms, modular content systems and reusable assets
• Shape how scientific data is structured, visualised and communicated across formats including digital, interactive and data-led experiences
• Act as a senior scientific partner for clients, supporting Medical Affairs, Medical Information and commercial stakeholders
• Provide strategic input into proposals, pitches and programme design, helping strengthen huumun’s scientific credibility and offer

• Own the scientific quality, accuracy and balance of huumun’s medical communications across therapy areas and clients
• Provide senior scientific review and oversight of key deliverables, ensuring alignment with evidence, strategy and audience needs
• Guide the development of scientific narratives that connect data, insight and experience design
• Ensure content adheres to regulatory, compliance and ethical standards

Team leadership and collaboration

• Provide functional leadership for scientific and medical communications capability across the business
• Mentor and support internal scientific, content and data team members, setting clear standards and quality benchmarks
• Work collaboratively within huumun’s pod-based delivery model, partnering with strategy, creative, UX, technology and client leadership roles
• Identify capability gaps and support the evolution of huumun’s scientific and data offer, including the use of AI-enabled tools where appropriate

Reporting to

• Chief Operating Officer

Location & travel

• Work from home
• Occasional travel to clients in the EU and USA and to huumun UK HQ as needed

All about you

• Advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent experience)
• Significant experience in medical communications and/or scientific strategy within pharma or life sciences
• Proven leadership of scientific content across multiple formats and channels
• Experience translating complex data into clear, engaging communications
• Strong client-facing presence with senior stakeholder credibility
• Passion for scientific storytelling, data visualisation and innovation
• Comfortable with digital or tech-enabled solutions
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams including strategy, creative, UX, technology and data
• Experience shaping content and data strategies for digital or interactive experiences
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and innovation in scientific communications
