Are you committed to maintaining a safe and efficient learning environment where students can thrive? The main purpose of this role is to support teaching and learning in the Science Department on a day-to-day basis.
Our Science Department is a diverse and experienced team comprising both early career teachers and colleagues with decades of teaching experience. These lessons are facilitated by our Technician team, who prepare all practical resources for lessons and assist with the setup of specialist equipment.
The department consists of a Head of Science, a Second in Department, and eight additional teaching staff. The pillar of the department is our Technician team, who strive to ensure the needs of teachers and students are continually met. We benefit from four well-equipped laboratories, with most teachers having access to their own dedicated teaching space. Our Technician team have their own dedicated workspace and work closely with the team of teachers and Head of Science to ensure that we have everything required for our Science lessons to elicit the best outcomes for our students.
Collaboration and mutual support are at the heart of our department, creating a welcoming environment where new staff quickly feel valued and included. We have consistently achieved strong outcomes and continually seek innovative and creative approaches to teaching and learning. We are committed to supporting professional growth and provide high-quality CPD opportunities to help all colleagues develop and succeed in their careers.
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on students’ lives and shares our core belief of putting students first.
