As a Materials Testing Apprentice, you'll work in our cutting-edge laboratories, testing materials to make sure they meet strict quality, safety and environmental standards.

Get stuck in from day one

You'll be working alongside experienced laboratory technicians and material scientists, getting hands on with testing equipment and sustainable building materials and learning how things work in the real world.

You'll build practical skills in materials science, laboratory testing, quality control and data analysis, while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Every day will bring something different. You'll have the chance to learn, ask questions, try things out and build your confidence as you go.

And because you'll be learning on the job, you'll see the impact of what you do straight away.

Who are we looking for?

You don't need to know everything about materials science already.

We're looking for people who are methodical, curious and passionate about science. If you're the kind of person who pays attention to detail, likes conducting tests and cares about quality, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll also have the opportunity to show us what you can do through a practical skills assessment, giving you the chance to demonstrate your natural ability and problem solving skills.
