Key duties:
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring all reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Review and approve journals, accruals, prepayments, provisions and other month-end adjustments.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring outstanding items are identified and resolved promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline month-end and financial reporting processes.
- Lead the year-end financial accounting cycle and coordinate the preparation of statutory accounts.
- Manage relationships with internal and external auditors and coordinate all audit requirements.
- Act as the key contact for financial accounting matters during audit processes.
- Manage, coach and develop a team of three Financial Accountants.
- Review the quality and accuracy of work produced across the Financial Accounting team.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the wider business to provide financial expertise and support.
