A well-established secondary school in Hereford is looking to appoint a reliable and proactive Site Supervisor to join its premises team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong practical skills who enjoys working in a varied role and takes pride in maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

Working closely with the Premises Manager and School Business Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard. You will play an important role in supporting health and safety compliance, carrying out routine maintenance and ensuring the school provides an outstanding environment for teaching and learning.

This position offers plenty of variety and would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently and taking ownership of site responsibilities.

The Premises Team ensures the school operates efficiently every day by maintaining the buildings, grounds and facilities to an excellent standard.

As Site Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and securing the school site each day.

• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.

• Conducting daily site inspections.

• Supporting health and safety compliance across the school.

• Preparing classrooms and halls for school events.

• Supervising contractors working on site.

• Monitoring heating, lighting and security systems.

• Reporting maintenance issues requiring specialist attention.

• Maintaining external areas including pathways and sports facilities.

• Assisting with deliveries and furniture movement.

• Keeping maintenance records up to date.

• Ensuring the school site remains safe, clean and presentable throughout the year.

The successful candidate will become an important member of the premises team, helping create an environment where students and staff can focus on learning.
