As a General Sales Assistant within our stores, you’ll be delivering an efficient and reliable service to our customers who are at the heart of everything we do. You will be a customer advisor achieving our sales whilst living our Matalan Values; maintaining a high performing, energetic and adaptable energy – all whilst making sure that our customer’s experience in-store is at the forefront of our work.

You’ll have great exposure of a fast-paced retail sales environment; working across the shop floor, till area and stock room. General Sales Assistant Ladieswear Department

As a General Sales Assistant in the Ladieswear Department at Matalan, your primary responsibilities will include setting up offers, merchandising products effectively, handling incoming deliveries, operating tills to assist customers with purchases, and ensuring the store is well-organised and maintains high standards. Additionally, you will be expected to engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, providing assistance and advice when needed. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards achieving sales targets and enhancing the overall customer shopping experience. We are looking for candidates with fully flexible availability to meet the needs of our dynamic retail environment.
